On 24th July managed to visit another park. The day was rainy and cloudly but the weather improved in the afternoon.
Looking at the map I found a sight-seeing spot in the area of SPFF-0820. The place is located about 17 kolimeters from my permanent residence here in SP8.
I was able to install G5RV for 80 – 10 meters. Unfortunately propagation conditions were not too good. Not too many corespondents. And quite noisy low bands.So I logged only 32 QSOs.
But this time I had another nice experience. A couple who were having a walk stopped me and asked what the deal was with the radio and the antenna. So I had a small lecture, explaining what HAM Radio is, why I operate from there, how it is all organized, why my antenna is big etc. They were very friendly and really interested in getting some information. It was a very nice meeting.
