SPFF-1397/PL-0644

Using my free Sunday time and the favorable weather, on the second day of August I went to the natural reserve located in the vicinity of Warsaw: SPFF-1397 (Rezerwat Przyrody Biele Chojnowskie). It is also valid for POTA PL-0644 and PL-0658. Perhaps not a place from the most-wanted list of natural reserves but still very intersting and easily accessible by car.

In the afternoon, I went to the Biele Chojnowskie Reservoir by car. It turned out that there are many parking places there. There are forest parking lots as well as forest roads, wide bays and a large number of high pines – perfect support for wire antennas like dipoles or G5RV. I quickly find comfortable place. It was in the locator KO02LA. For PGA Award valid as PA04.

I installed the shortened G5RV (40 – 10m) I started working. There were not too many correspondents but still operating was very nice and pleasant. I logged almost 60 QSOs on CW and SSB.

The last 20 minutes of my operation was done on a longwire antanna powered via an UnUn. It allowed me to make some QSOs on 30 meters.

Very nice Sunday park expedition. Very nice place, definitely worth visiting if you are a mushroom collector. Foir that reason maybe I will visit those areas there in the autumn.

Thank you for all QSOs. Logs are already uploaded to POTA database and sent to SPFF Manager.
